Sooo ya...no clue on the trolling aspect of this or why its important to the topic but o'well...(EDIT: ok ya went through and read everything including the Tailboard riding topic so i understand now)
As for SCBAs at auto fires...
-The VA State Firefighter 1 and 2 classes require the use of FULL PPE including SCBA at auto fires.
-The station I volunteer at has SOPs in place requiring full PPE and SCBA at auto fires.
-The county (career) requires the use of full PPE and SCBA at auto fires.
And now Ill admit that alot of persons with-in the county (both volunteer and county career personel) do not wear them, I will also honestly say that 8 out of 10 auto fires I do not have my SCBA on, but my reason is (stupid as it may be) is that most of the auto fires I have been on are small and arn't in the engine compartment.Last edited by FireInTheShire; 01-27-2011 at 08:55 PM.
