My department is in the market for a used heavy rescue/hazmat truck. We would like to find one that is no older than a 2000 model and has a gen-set, light tower, SCBA fill station and lots of storage. We are hoping to find a department that is taking or has taken delivery of a new apparatus and would like to get some money out of their retiring rig. Thanks, Troy

It may be a challenge to find one with all of the equipment you're looking for, but you can always add it on.

http://www.firetec.com/ has some too, but they're pre-2000.TruckCommittee.com

Our 1992 Freightliner/Saulsbury heavy rescue is currently for sale. It does not have a fill station (does have a high pressure air system), but does come with a Holmatro rescue tool system. Check out http://www.pvfd32.org (click on the "Squad 322 for sale" link) for more information.

Thanks Phil, but we are after an older version of your new truck.
Tim, I have looked at all the sites and have a few trucks we are eyeballing. We would like to find a rig before it hits the mainstream media. Before a dept. advertises it and has to pay a commission. Thanks!I have but one ambition in life and that is to become a firefighter.

We have eyeballed that rig several times but it is just outside of our budget. You get the number down and let me know!I have but one ambition in life and that is to become a firefighter.
