It will be hot, they talk about scorpions and trantulas, and the sheriff are strict. The site is awesome once you get out there but expect some class time and talking and small around the classroom Training to get the hang of things. The last few days are the fun stuff and it is fun and eggnog more so at night if you have a few friends. They were ding training when I was there at night so 50 cals firing in the background and perfectly clear sky. Good time and have fun.

After the loooong class room portion, take some time and pick up a bottle of Jack. I went to class, went for a run around Mercury (remember you are at altitude), ate dinner, and then drank the night away. Don't make the mistake I did, if the expert guy talks after dinner one of the nights, go to it.

I didn't even think about the altitude.

What is the elevation of Vegas and the training site?

High desert. In May the nights are cold but the day should be quite nice.
It sits at about 2100' elevation. Not that high. Make sure to keep hydrated as the humidity is extremely low. Sunblock and all that stuff.

That is what I get for trying to post on my phone with my big fingers. Sorry, English version as requested.

It does get hot during the day. There are scorpions and tarantulas and they tell you to leave the doors closed and if the road is moving to go the other way, it is a herd of tarantulas. Might not be the right season for then now, I went later in the year. You spend the first few days in classroom, but have a lot of fun the last few days on site. The site itself is awesome and seeing the videos and then seeing the actual spots was pretty exciting. They were doing training at night and shooting 50 caliber guns off of the back of Humvee and the sky is very clear and you can see a lot of stars. No idea what eggnog is doing here, but it was a good time with lots of fun.
