online paramedic cert??

I am a full time firefighter EMT-B who wants to become a medic, but because of financial constrainsts my department cant send me to school. I really want to become a medic but there are no schools in my area and they cant support the OT to send me away. So basically I have to do this on my own dime and use my vacation time. I have been looking into online programs and have found some through the state of Mass. and Texas. Has anyone here done this? Obviously this is not my first choice but i might have to do it this way. I would travel back there for my hands on portion and do my clinicals and internships in my home area. Any thoughts?? thanks everyone

Cannot say about if they will let you do ride outs out of state, just call them and ask

and a lot who have one through the firefighter program

have heard no complaints and pass rate is up there
