It looks like a blast, but the day after I posted it the parents said maybe next year. So hope that works out.

It's a great time for the explorers in my post. Here's a quick summary:

first year kids: first two days are basically "basics" good familiarization with tools/gear/searching, and do some forcible entry and a SCBA maze. a lot of it may be redunant to a lot of posts, but it's mostly done to cover IFSI's ***...so they KNOW you know how to do that stuff. after those two days, it's live fire for the next 1.5.

returning explorers: live fire all 4 days, larger fires than the first year kids get, and at night they have more advanced evolutions for the best of the explorers. some evolutions include climbing the tower ladder or 35' to the roof of the tax payer and doing vertical vent, some standpipe operations...all under live fire.
