Possibly looking at going DOD..

My fiancee is in basic right now for the Army and depending on where she gets stationed when she graduates I will be moving with her ofcourse will get married before then so I can live on base and all that..But my question is I am a professional firefighter for my county right now and figure if I move on base with her I will look to go DOD. Now I am a EMT-B and have certs for Fire 1,2, HazMat Ops, DPO, Rural Water Supply, RIT, BLS Protocols etc. but they are all State certifications will these help me with possibly getting hired? Or will it mean nothing and have to start from scratch again..?

The Certs. you need have nothing to do with what State your from! You need Certs. from anywhere that are IFSAC Certified and have the gold IFSAC seal or are Pro. Board certified.

some states are IFASAC/proboard (such as utah). proboard certs should transfer to DoD certs and you would qualify for a GS 5 or 6... depending if you are applying for somewhere with an airfield, in that case you would need ARFF... but the Army guys would be able to give you more info on that.
