    Default okeechobee county hiring

    Just got back from the written test today. only 22 guys showed up and applied but not totally sure on how many they are planning on taking. I know is some of the rural smaller depts it is a good ole boy system and my chances are probably slim seeming how i heard 4 of the guys talking with the training chief about going hunting this upcoming weekend.

    You're right. Usually smaller/rural departments hire their volunteers. Open application and testing is a formality required by the BOCC. 22 is pretty good odds though.
