Training in Saskatchewan
For any department out there who is looking for some training, there is a training weekend in White City, Sk (just outside Regina) April 8-10, 2011. It is put on by the Sask. Volunteer Firefighter Assoc. and open to all firefighters. You dont have to be a member. Link to school info is http://www.https://sites.google.com/...ityfireschool/
BTW-for any of you out there I am not advertising this school for any other reason than I have attended it for the last 5 years or so and think it is a great chance for some excellent trainging with IFSAC accreditation, theory and practical. Best of all is meeting and talking with other ff's about calls, response times, municipal troubles, funding etc. :)

As A Firefighter in Saskatchewan, I am glad to see that more training is becoming available to volunteer firefighters.
Now to get everyone on the same page at every level. The small department attitude of "we're just volunteers" needs to be thrown out the door
