Will the 6-7 be the vets that have been talked about?
Has anybody heard anything new??? Has the group for March been contacted??
Anybody hear anything? Heard a rumor that they started making phone calls for the next class.
Hear anything more to the rumor?
All the calls have been made for the March group, not sure what other rumor there may be lol.
Calls were made for a class starting early April. Don't know how many though.
Any info on how many are left on this list? And how long this list will last for?
2 year list. Still a decent amount. I am sitting on the outside, waiting for my number to be called. :(
Quick question, is there a dress code for the orlando written test? I know for some departments it is business casual. I don't recall that it said it anywhere on the information.
Just dress casually - it's not the interview. Theres gonna be 900 people there so no one is gonna remember what you were wearing.
Yea i figured as much since it wasn't addressed. Was just being safe, thank you for the response.
You can wear whatever you want. However, if you want a job with a particular department, dressing up is not much to ask. If 899 people dress casually and 1 person wears a shirt and tie. Guess who will be remembered. Just my .02, small amount of time to be uncomfortable (or comfortable depending on who you are) for a great opportunity, good luck.
Anyone have an idea of how many they're looking to hire?
pumped about the test tomorrow! I was hoping there would be a large hire, and that's why they were putting on a new test instead of just picking off the old list...oh well! Still hoping to kill it. OFD would be a huge step for me and my family. My dept isn't cutting it any longer...
Hoping that being fresh out of medic school and studying up the fire books will give me an edge! Who else will be there bright and early tomorrow AM?
Anybody else feel this test was pretty easy? Guess we will have to wait and see until Friday how it turns out.
I didnt think it was too bad, a bunch of tricky questions though. How do they grade? Top 10% or is there and actual pass/fail test score?
Not really sure, I passed last time and I believe there was around 160ish go onto the physical and 105 that went onto the poly and chiefs interview. Good luck to everyone.
160, thats probably a bit more than the top 10% but I would imagine thats how it is with that many people testing.. good luck as well.
Last test, passing meant 68 or above...but the test had way more people so the curve probably won't be quite the same. I can't wait to see my score! I feel strongly that I'll be moving on to the FFST. Good luck everyone!
It's all curved. No set number until they see the scores.
