It is with great sadness that we are reporting the death of Nichols Fire Training Officer Dannye Allen. Danny was the retired Fire Chief of the Edgewood Fire Department. Dannye was working at a clean-up site for Gra-Kat Environmental Services on I-71/I-75 area in Northern Kentucky yesterday when he and two other employees were struck by a truck. Dannye was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
