    Default New(ish) LACoFD Squads

    Hey I was just wondering what everyones thoughts were on LACoFD's new Dodge squads were. And does anyone know county's opinions? Are they cutting ford off?

    I don't believe so. If I recall correctly, they are built by a California company (Phenix Truck Bodies) that builds those types of bodies.

    Talked to Jack at the County Shops. They have had so many maintenance issues with the 6.0 and 6.4 Liter diesel engines LACOFD switched to the Dodge Diesels. Spoke to Him reference a re-chassis of our Type 6 and Jack said unless I can find a 7.3 platform to stay away from the 6.0, 6.4. Can't speak to the 6.7 as they don't have history with them

    The new Dodge looks sharp! Sort of partial though to the early 1970's Dodge that Squad 51 had.
