Getting Medic Cert?

Hey Man,

Sometimes having your Medic cert helps with points, sometimes it doesn't. It just depends on the city that's doing the hiring.

Some cities simply require you to be a medic before you can even test, so it all depends.

I agree with the previous post..it just depends on what the organization is looking for...and around here (st louis metro area)..you def need paramedic to get anywhere and make decent money..I imagine its not much different where you're from..

A medic cert will allow you to take more tests in more places. In some areas of the country up to 80% of the job offerings are for fire/medics.
