I hate ORF. The traffic pattern sucks.

Hope you are having a great time. Thanks for spending you vacation in my town and helping to keep my taxes low! Pay no attention to the fruit kid he hasn't got a clue.

Plenty to see and do keep your better half out of the outlets, your billfold will thank you.

Piercies bbq is a great resturant to eat at, alittle off the beaten path but good food.

What are you talking about kid. Have you ever been out of the burg and seen what a real gang infested area is?

I guess since I am not old and rich (yet) or a high school kid with rich parents I am not actually sitting in my living room in James City.

Go Back to the kids table and be quiet the grown ups are talking.

Thanks RFD...gee - if I had known you were close I'd have set up a station tour or something!.....

Had a good time, did a bit of shopping (my 'other' half hates shopping! lol)....but not at the outlets - Williamsburg Antique Mall has some of my hard earned cash, but I'm already making most of that back on ebay!.....

We ended up at Kyoto for dinner one night - had AWESOME sushi - and complimented the chef/owner by asking him to fix us HIS favorite....think my brother went back a second time.....

I'll have to keep Piercies in mind for next time - I'd rather go off the beaten path than the chain places.....

Glad you had a good time. I think you headed out right as the pollen turned the air green down here.

My station is about 50 miles away in richmond so a good little drive away.

Kyoto is a great place. I am not a huge fan of captain georges simpily not worth the money sense i dont do seafood.

Next time you are down check out the chickohominy house for breakfast. That is some great down home southern cooking.

Nope - no Capt Geroges.....breakfast was done at the condo - a lot cheaper that way!.....had dinner at the Jefferson House one night, which was so-so......

I went past Richmond 2x on my trip lol....to and from DC for my NFPA meeting.....

Oh - and yes, my truck DID turn a bit green while I was there.....

Kyoto was just bought by one of the chefs - he bought out the other owners...that is the guy who hooked us up with our dinner - my brother told me he went back for a 2nd time and had another awesome meal- just let the owner/chef make whatever he wanted him to try.....

Well - next trip I'll try to get over to Richmond! I'm hoping to be able to head back down this summer for at least a weekend trip....

    Wink

Captain Georges is a seafood calabash restaurant. A large buffet all you can eat fare.

No breakfast. You get that at the places that cater on the breakfast stuff.
