Cairns Sam Houston Brass Band

Hey guys. Im refurbishing a Cairns Sam Houston. I've got it pretty well finished, all I have to do is install the ear flaps and liner and its through. However, the brass band that holds it in needs to be replaced bc its broken in some spots. Anybody have any tips or tricks, ideas how to do it yourself, or know of anyone that can do it? Im just afraid if I send it to Cairns it'll be forever and a day before I get it back.
