hey yall im 17 years old 3 months away from being 18 i wanna start firefighting first im gonna be a volunteer idk if this is true or not but someone told me that after 6 months your schooling will be paid for can someone clear this up for me and i wanna do schooling can someone tell me what classes i need 2 take im in shape workout every single night and run almost everyday im bout 2 start doing more cardio and breathing excercises i live in north east florida near jacksonville all the help i can get will be greatly appreciated

Start with some English Composition and other basic grammar classes.

Agree with going into a paid department and asking these questions. It's much harder to hear misspellings and terrible punctuation.

Yes, go to your local fire station and ask around, its different in every area. Please act educated and not ramble on like you did on this forum.

Its going to vary from department to department. Some will pay for the basic skills, others it is your responsibility. Like others have said, check with your local departments.
