Just wanted some input here, so im going to a community college to get an associates, you know taking my gen eds and fire classes/academy emt classes/academy want to become an explorer as well. After that im going to put in for a transfer to get a Bachelors degree in fire science at Cal State LA. My question is does that sound like a good plan? any advice on what else would help?

not too entirely sure to be honest :confused: id like the fire service to be my main line of work but not my only
Then if you decide to get a four year degree
Get it in something that is employable
You can always use it as a second job or first if fd does not work out
i do want it to be my first and main job, just wanting a fall back plan is all. But as for what im doing does it sound good? get my associates, maybe look around see if i cant get in PCF while getting my bachelors

I think you should get what is needed in order to apply, prior to getting an assoc
