how often does columbus test? and will having a paramedic cert help here?

also could anyone tell me if columbus and/ or cincinatti have the 10 pt residency benefit like cleveland?

Columbus last tested before 2011 in 2006 and Cincy has talks weekly about laying off, so not any time soon. No they don't have residency points.

I think the last Cinci test was 2008. But yes, they are a very unstable city to work for. The city government is in shambles.

Well...that was a kick in the nuts. Passed physical but didn't pass foam despite wearing a suit and studying my *** off for it. Oh well...on to the next test. Good luck to those moving forward.

what is the foam?

It is a test CFD uses were you sit infront of a TV with scenarios and you act out how to respond.

Yeah, that sucks I failed the FOAM as well. I thought I did decent, but I guess they had stricter scoring then I thought. I moved from NYC to SF while they were having study sessions, so thats on me. I am sure that would have helped, because I went in not knowing alot about the process. Good luck to everyone who made to the next step, go get it.

Same here. Am I disappointed? yes, however, I prefer to look at it this way:
I made it this far in the process on my first testing attempt at my first career dept, so if I can make it farther in the process each time I test, I can't be too far from going the distance

Dang, not a lot of great news so far. I've heard from two of my buddies, one is in the 70 band and the other didn't pass the FOAM.

80 band here.... Hopefully they hire like they say they are going too!

Passed the FOAM, got a 73 i believe, 70 band, not looking good but active. First test i ever took. Good experience.
