Jamo where were you working part time? Im a few mintutes from you in hudson... gives me hope for guys who didnt have certs or much experience when applying. Columbus would be my dream job.. if they ever test again in the near future.

Is Columbus fire just hiring 35 recruits in 2012. I scored in the lower 80 band even tho I took the fire prep course and answered the foam questions exactly how they described in the course as well as scored a 95% on the written test. Had the polygraph today. Thought it went really well. Just going to be waiting on the confirmation letter to be able to move on (hopefully) and then the next step, which I think is the home interview and the rest of the background investigation. Good luck to everybody coming up with the polys or any other stage.

1001- from what they told me in the pre-polygraph, there is just one class of 35 this year, starting in December.

Wow that is great news about december. I had initially thought June may be a start date, but then heard that fell through and haven't heard anything since.

I wish I could give more information about the lie detector than just the usual cliche stuff! It was real thorough, but seemed to move quicker than I thought it would. I won't feel fully relieved, though, until I get the confirmation letter for the next step. Who knows what could happen.
