Strange... Im scheduled for FOAM and PCT as well (5/21)... but if you review their timeline, it looks like they weren't originally planning to have the FOAM/PCT until August (phase III)

You're going to want to log onto the Columbus.gov website and login. There you can check your application status that will probably say you are scheduled for this or that. From the looks of what the other guys/gals and myself saw, we have not been contacted yet...there has just been an update in our accounts on the website.

I think that's what threw a bunch of us - when we logged in, it had us scheduled for FOAM/PCT and not written. It looks like they corrected that this morning though (or at least on my account).
FOAM - Firefighter Oral Assessment Mechanism. From the study guide
"The oral exam is a video-based test that examines a candidate’s problem sensing and resolution skills and interpersonal relations skills. This exam is not intended to test fire policies or procedures. A series of scenarios or situations will be presented in which you will be expected to respond as a firefighter."

Question for you guys and I may have missed it in a previous thread but does Columbus give points/preference for veterans and Columbus residents? I am neither of these and wondering about this before I make travel arrangements.

Nice!!! If I didn't read this forum, I probably wouldn't have checked the status in time

columbus.gov:
Passing scores from Phase III will determine the candidate's banded placement on the eligible list along with any approved Veteran's Preference Credit.(5 and 10)

The first two exams are pass/fail. Just pass them.
The FOAM is where the beans and bacon are. You have to do well on that to score high enough to get the PHQ. I was in the 80 band (I think specifically 86). I just got my appointment letter yesterday; I am in the June academy. (I got 0 bonus points for anything).
Good luck to all.
