Kind of a dumb little question, but to the guys that are in the current academy... How are lunches set up? Do we need to bring lunch, is their a cafeteria at the training center, do we have time to go out and get something?

We usually get about 45 minutes or an hour for lunch. There isn't a cafeteria at the TA, but there is a recruit lunch room with a few fridges and microwaves.

Some of the guys like to go over to high street and grab something quick, but depending on wait, lines, etc, it can cut close sometimes. A lot of the guys pack their lunch and eat right at the TA. Sometimes you only get a half hour or so for lunch and so packing makes it easier and you don't have to rush around. The first week and a half or so of the academy is unique, so sometimes the schedule can be different than the routine you will come to know. The staff will explain more when you come in to finish up your paperwork.

Good Luck and see you there soon.

Congratulations guys!! just curious what did you guys score at band wise. I didn't do well on the FOAM and my score dropped big time bc of it. I choked up the first 2 scenarios. I'm in the 70 band and just curious if they have got to the 80 band yet. I'm guessing most likely I still have 2 or 3 years before i get a phone call, Thanks!!

I am not sure if they are at the 80 band yet... I was in the low 90 band (91) and they had just gotten to my background. I received a call last week asking if I was still interested and am going in a couple weeks to fill out more paperwork and get my picture taken... So I would imagine they are getting close to the 80 band... Hope that helps.

Also, I was wondering if anyone knows of another class after this June class? I was excited about the phone call and was wondering what is next after this paperwork and picture taking part...

Anybody have any insight as to how candidates are selected based on their FOAM score. Does it go by bands or by scores within the bands? Meaning, does a person with a 79 have any significant advantage over a person with a 71? It looks like there have already been a few classes off of this list and I just checked my email and it looks like there are over 600 people that scored in the 70s. Even still, it doesn't seem like anybody even knows if they have exhausted the 90 and 80 bands. Anybody have an insight on the DROP/retirements or have most of the people from the DROP already left? Just curious if anybody can possibly anticipate how many more classes could possibly come off of this list considering it has already been a couple years. Any insight/info is appreciated.

Has anyone else taken their polygraph? If so, has anyone been contacted for the next step?

Had my polygraph in early August. The person conducting the exam said I passed but I have not heard anything from background.

I heard they sent out letters extending the list unitl 2014, is this true? Also heard that the possible December class has been postponed but instead they plan to run a June 2014 class that is populated with the 2011 test list. I also heard that a new test will be given in Spring of 2014 with a possible class coming from that list in December of 2014. Can anyone confirm any of this, or have you heard similar?

How many of you have gone through all steps including physical and psych tests? How many have been through Poly and Oral boards?

Jamo, I heard that as well, from a friend. After the polygraph in August I was looking forward to things moving pretty quick for the December class then I was told it changed to June. I have not been contacted for oral boards yet but hope that will be soon. I am also wondering if anyone else has been contacted for oral boards yet or have gotten through that phase...?
