I think it would be great if there was a country wide response from firefighters all over the USA. I remember when I was in Saudi Arabia during 9/11 the FDNY came out and said they wanted firefighters to wear the mourning badge for a month. We did that in Saudi.
Even if it is something as simple as flying a flag off the back of our rigs, I think it would be a powerful way to make a statement.
I would like someone from the FDNY to spearhead this however. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know!
