Hey guys, I am new to this forum and new to firefighting. I have a written test in June, and hopefully the CPAT soon after...What should I be expecting? Keep in mind I have no experience. Do they tell you what to do before? or just make you go at it? Any advice/tips appreciated.

it is a general knowledge test. you need not know anything about firefighting. the test is not that difficult. i took it last year, was supposed to go back down for cpat in october but they suspended all hiring at the time. i am going down in june for the cpat and interview. just read each question all the way through before answering. good luck!

Took it last month. Just take your time and make sure you understand each question fully before answering.
