Pov light law interpretation (Florida)

Does this mean only 2 individual flashing lights or like one dash light and maybe a tear drop etc... Like if the dash light was split would that count as 2 lights?

From what i quickly read in the law it looks like you can only have 2 lights displayed. And i dont believe that if the dash light was split it would could as 2 i think there talking about 2 separate strobe units or lighting units.

I read it as the law reads. no more than two[2].

That could be two dash lights or two light on the sunvisor or two led on the upper windshield.

Best bet would contact the Florida State Police and ask them how they interpret this law.

Can't really add any legalese since I'm not in Florida but some people/depts here in NY have proposed anything under a single lens counts as "one" light. Hence, we have some ridiculous looking light bars floating around this state! i.e. a "single" full width housing with 6 rotators and 4 flashers in it. All in a state where a blue light offers you NO V&TL privileges.

Thankfully that nonsense isn't tolerated in my dept. No offense to anyone where POV lights might work but in my area they just don't.

The way our county interpretes it is Only 2 Red devices. No limit on white or amber lights, just rear facing white lights are frowned upon and you have to have a permit signed by the chief. Theres plenty of people who run way way more red lights but FHP has never said anything to anybody. In fact i've seen them pull over for POVs lol.
