I didnt get an offer but just wondering how long ago you applied and what was the time line for hearing anything back from them? Did you get the reply back from them email or in the mail?

I applied 2 weeks ago, a chief emailed me and asked if I was still interested in the job last monday and tuesday morning my offer letter was in my email. I just got a ton of papers to fill out and send back to them for background checks, medical, and other things.

@apexi, Man I also think it takes some luck also. I've had in with them for awhile and have everything they need and still haven't heard anything.

Im a Ex-Airforce firefighter did 2yrs active and about 5 reserve, I had ff1&2, hazmat a&o, arff, pumper, and instructor 1. I submitted my app to them once before in like September but never got a word, I went back on there a few weeks ago and saw they had jobs up so I re-submitted my resume and got an offer last week. Said all that to say that its definitely luck involved. Most of these jobs overseas have changed dramatically with the selection process. It used to be more recruiter friendly but I think more of the companies are allowing the Chiefs to pull and fill thier own spots, so if a person doesnt pan out then the blame is layed to Chiefs feet instead of the recruiter. Gone are the days where we could just email the recruiter that hired us and put in a word to get a friend over.
