Got my final offer today!

I did as well, pending my medical tomorrow. Academy starts March 12, with an orientation sometime in Feb.

Sigh...I haven't heard anything yet, and I finished the medical over a month ago. Is it because I don't have my MD or Proboard FFI/FFII? Maybe in the second class?

I got the golden letter guys, but i'm kind of confused...it says that I finished everything except my medical. I finished that a month and half ago.

Congrats to all that made it. I've been watching this thread unfold, and it has been pretty exciting.

I'm going through testing myself at a different dept. We're currently in the written test phase.

I do have EMT-B.

I heard the March class will be 10 weeks, with a longer class starting in May or June.

That's a really short academy judging by the fact that only my EMT-B is transferable.

I had the same experience...seemed like I was golden until I was passed off to the background investigator after the CPAT. I never heard from them again outside of a "we'll definitely get back to you as soon as we can". Seems like they could at least notify you when you've been taken out of consideration rather than lead you on. Disappointing, really.

Pretty much standard issue at this point.

I have my EMT-B though....which makes me think something came up with my background check....although I was never even contacted or assigned an investigator. Got an 84 on the written, did the CPAT in 8:28, and had a decent interview (or so I thought)....then nada. No word whatsoever. Odd. Makes me wonder what happened...not knowing stinks. Itd be nice to correct what's wrong, or at least explain it.

I can understand though, as I'm sure they're busy as hell...

Well i just got a call to go see my investigator this coming monday at 8am, followed by a psych or something at 11. I don't have an EMT B/P though just a Bachelor's degree.
