Cut off a leg.
Well, I guess you could go on a crash NO carbs diet... depending on where you are starting out, you could simply hold to a 1500 cal diet and lose the weight.
You can go online and calculate the calories you need to maintain your existing weight, and just eat less. You will lose weight until the calories match a new lighter weight.
Weight loss is a simple thing to plan. Its another to get it done. Believe me!I am now a past chief and the views, opinions, and comments are mine and mine alone. I do not speak for any department or in any official capacity. Although, they would be smart to listen to me.

Eat less and work hard. Basically, burn more calories than you take in. It's the only way.

interval training is what I was told by the APAT proctors. I passed the APAT and went to the weekend trainings, but I guess I missed the cut or so.
Anyways, I've been doing interval training each morning, this morning I only went 15 minutes on the tread mill, every 80 seconds I went from 4.0 to 6.0 and every other time I went to seven. Oh well, I gotta start off some how right? I also read somewhere that if you gain muscle your body starts burning calories and fat to support that muscle. So there you have it, cardio + interval (High intensity interval training) and strength training. That's what I've been doing and now am aiming to apply at another department when someone starts hiring again. Thanks for taking the time to read this.Unit 71 - Probationary Firefighter / First Responder

Eat less, and run - 1 hour minimum with neopren belt.
After that bike. You can do it.

Running, and riding a bike does well .
I have never really had a weight problem but a few years ago I stopped drinking soft drinks that had sugar in them and I lost 15 lbs in a month.Bring enough hose.
