Default Transferring Illinois Firefighter II to Florida

So I am a Firefighter II and EMT-B in Illinois. I currently am looking to move to Florida and apply for some Full-Time Dept. What I was wondering is what do I have to do to get my firefighter II to transfer.

    Thanks

    Zach

not a chance my friend........You will have to go through the academy down here all over again, and apply with thousands of certified applicants applying for every job opening...

In Florida, majority of applicants on EAST coast side are Medics/FF and still unable to get work. Being a Medic is a most if you want a better shot at being hired.

Take it from a native floridian, there is nothing good about florida except the weather. Fire Department wise, you're going to have a very tough time (south of orlando) finding a job if you are not firefighter and paramedic certified.
I just had my paramedic pre-entrance exam yesterday. Hopefully I can start medic in the fall, finish medic next year, then transfer down to Florida. Will see, I hear from family in Florida that the FD's are not doing so good but I'm willing to take a chance. I'm only 21 so I figured try everywhere if I can.
