    Default Waukesha Gaskets Needed.......

Putting this in here as I feel it will get more exposure with a wider audience....This is pointed at folks in the Upper-Midwest and Northeast regions of the Country, however if anyone from anywhere has any input, let it fly. Parts guys, FD Mechanics, anyone having this engine.........

I am seeking a set of head gaskets and/or a full rebuild gasket set for a 1955 Waukesha 140GZ straight 6 gas engine (later called the F554G.) This is NOT the 145GZ (F817G) that everyone automatically thinks when they hear "Waukesha" mentioned in context with a fire truck.

    I have the following numbers:
    Victor's Full Set Number FS1889
    Victor's Head Set Number HS1889
Fel Pro's Full Set Number FS7831C
Fel Pro's Head Set Number HS7831C

These numbers are apparently discontinued. However I am reaching out to anyone who may have had this Wauky at one time, or may know an older parts business that still has stock, or perhaps a FD Motor Shop that still may have these on a shelf somewhere. I have contacted several vendors that I have found online and in Hemmings Motor News, however I am not prepared to give them my firstborn child, two arms and a leg for these gaskets. So if anyone out there may be able to lend assistance, I would greatly appreciate it. This is for my restored 1958 F.W.D. Model F-725 pumper.

Have you tried Hemmings Motor News classifieds? You might be able to find NOS gaskets there.

You're STILL looking for these parts???

Let me get through this Memorial Day weekend, and I "might" have something for you on Tuesday. I asked a couple people a few months ago, and came up with nothing. I'll try a couple others, that may be able to help.
