    You do not say what state you are in or what you really are looking for

    If you are willing to move;;;;

    Actually, I believe he did....New York.

    Check out Fire Careers or Fire Recruit....both of those you have to pay for, but they will let you know when departments are testing. Best of luck man.

    Three words: Get that MEDIC!! Too many applicants with it to compete with. It's just a good way to go.

    Also, be able to offer something to a city that most applicants either can't offer or don't think of to. Something that makes you unique (in a good way)

    Take care,
    PEte

    Where is the like button around here!? The fire service has smartened up and realized that 80% of its call volume is EMS. I know, someone is gonna say, "we dont run EMS", and I respond with, "well, your in the LOW minority." EMS is where its at, like it or not. And anything that can give you that boost, or maybe that edge, ie Paramedic, will help you in the long run.

    Good Luck and stay safe!

    I might go to Philly and get a homemade cheese steak sub. Other than that, I'm happy in VA. Good luck to everyone though!
