Any idea of how many they plan to hire? or how many normally test?

    Thumbs down

While nothing is set in stone, there are the potential for several positions due to up to a dozen guys being eligible or becoming eligible this year. This expiring list is the first in several years to have not one hire off of.
Last year there were 82 who showed up to test. When I tested 5 years ago it was against 200 others.

I know this post is old, but due to IFFD testing in April I thought I'd try to revive it. I hope to test and was hoping I could glean some advice. Can anyone offer some advice on the best way to prepare. I would like nothing more than to work in I.F., and figured it'd be worth a shot to post. Either way, Cheers!

You can buy Civil Service study guides from the bookstores for Firefighter tests. It has been my experiance that they are fairly accurate for help.
