Default What finally happened to Wolverine Fire Apparatus?

No wars please, just wondering what the final disposition of Wolverine/Elite Power Products was.

Last I knew bankruptcy was looming and then I thought they re-opened but, well the phone seems to be disconnected...

Tell me what you know. Again, no wars please.

Nobody knows anything? Holy ****!! I don't believe I have ever seen a question asked on here where NO ONE had an answer, opinion, hearsay, rumor, BS, or an outright lie in response.

    Consider me shocked.

Their web site shows that they are still in business.

Having a website up doesn't necessarily mean you are still in business. Try calling the number listed, it is not in service. I tried to follow up on some dealers and the links were dead ends.

I was just curious as to what happened to this company. My career FD bought a rescue from Elite and it seems to be a good rig.

I spoke to one of their dealers who confirmed they are definitely closed.

Elite had some great people building their trucks and built a good product. Dave Moser was/is an idiot and should be in jail.

We were forced to purchase a low-bid Elite mini-pumper at work, and regretted it from the day it was delivered. Delayed delivery, pump issues, wiring issues, service issues - the final inspection punch list was one of the longest we'd ever had. Problem was partially solved when it burst into flames about 18 months after delivery....

Why would I be happy that they are out of business? Like I said, my career FD bought a medium rescue from Elite Power Products a few years back and we haven't had any real problems with it.

I hate to see any company close and the employees out of work.

There was an auction held at the property earlier this year to liquidate what remained of their assets.

A shame...not only killed off EPP, but Wolverine too.
