    Check this out.

You need something that has enough power to go out into the river, over and beyond the target so the line can drift down to those, whom you are trying to get it to.

It's not like the Delaware River, where George Washington chunked a silver dollar across!!

    THIS!

You can get several loads for diffrent distances, email the company, they'll email you all the literature. The Bridger line gun is time tested, been around for ever. Beats the air powered ones hands down, no fumbling around trying to get the correct pressure, if you miss, just reload, awesome line gun.

You could get a line throwing bag, and throw it out to the folks in the lake or river.

Nothing for the fire service is cheap. It is built to last a lifetime. We still have some old US Navy Line Throwing Guns from 50 years back and they still do their job!

Yes, the picture is a Boston Terrier with a PFD swimming with a rope.

Last year we purchased the Lucky Launcher 2 and have been happy with it so far. Our line is 250' long and it has no problem consistently shooting that distance.

We send swimmers across with lines. 20 meters max shore to shore of SWIFT water + class 5 rapids at points.
