For those of you going through a Medic course, whether it be a 6-month course, 2-year course at a community college, taking night classes or classes during the day.
What do you guys do for a job?
I'm curious to know, because I want to get my medic but would still like to take care of my financial responsibilities. Pretty much just trying to get an idea of what I can do for work while I go through my medic course.
Any and all comments would be greatly appreciated!

For those of you going through a Medic course...
The world is a dangerous place to live, not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it.

I'm not going through a medic course, but I know many people who have.
Typically they are usual EMT's who are working at an ambulance company. I also know some full time firefighters who do it to. Pretty much any job that allows some time off for studying because I know all my friends who have gone through that process study and become social ghosts for about a year

there are a lot of guys that are working for ambulance companies, or part time/full time for a fire department. some ambulance companies will even pay for you to go to medic school but then you have to sign a contract with them for so many years.

I'm currently halfway through a 10 month medic program. I work part time at a non-EMS fire department, and part time at an EMS district running 911 only. Together it averages to over 40 hours a week working. Working in the field while in school is a definite plus as I can continuously apply new knowledge outside of the clinical realm. About half of my classmates also work in EMS, with the other half doing their normal day jobs (construction, garbage man, etc).
In my personal opinion I would try to do some sort of work in the field, if anything for the experience, but whatever keeps a roof over your head and will be flexible for school will work too
