LODD: Corey Shaw, DuQuoin Fire Department

Corey Shaw, 22 years old, died in the line of duty fighting a building fire in nearby Pinckeyville, IL on Friday, June 17, 2011. He was working a section of an antique mall when the wall collapsed causing serious injuries where he later perished at a St. Louis hospital. Corey was a member of the DuQuoin, IL Fire Department since 2010 and was the son of DuQuoin's Fire Chief, Bob Shaw. He leaves a wife and young daughter. Keep his family, friends, and community in your thoughts and prayers through this tragic time. Funeral arrangements are pending at this time.
