Default Rest easy, Rossford, Ohio Fire Chaplain Rick Vascik

"It is with great sadness that the Rossford Fire and Rescue Department announces the passing of active member FF/Paramedic Chaplain Richard J. Vascik. He has succumed from his valiant battle with leukemia. We salute you and thank for you your 29 and 1/2 years of serivce to the department and Community. Rest in Peace ..."

Rick was the most selfless man I've ever crossed paths with and a great leader in the Rossford community. He opened the Fire Explorer Post in Rossford 19 years ago and has helped dozens of local young men and women become firefighters and better people. He never missed mass on Sundays at All Saints. The ER at St. Charles' won't be the same. He will be missed, but never forgotten.

    Thanks for all you've done.
    Rest easy, brother.

I will update with funeral details and such as I can.
