I have sad news for you, Old Blue Eyes, Frank Sinatra has been dead since May 14, 1998!

Whoops that came out wrong. What entertainers were the best at entertaining their audiences?

Assuming you are talking about entertainers that did live shows, which is what the title implies:

    -Red Skelton
    -Bob Hope
    -Abbott & Costello
    -Jerry Clower
    -Bill Cosby

I used to volunteer as an usher at the Orpheum Theater here in Memphis and have met Chet Atkins,Carol Channing,Dick Van Dyke,Donny Most,Red Skelton and a cast of thousands."Hello,Dolly!","Damn Yankees", "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas"(There's a story involving my Grandmother there.) were some of the memorable shows I've seen.
There are a lot of actors and actresses who have left us who put the emphasis on entertaining the people who came to see the show instead of making sure the cameras were pointed their way as they arrived to perform for a paying audience.
