    Default Nfpa 1983

Looking for information on the origin of the standard. I know it was after a fatal roof top rope rescue in NY in 1983. Anyone remember the brother's name?

You might want to try contacting the NFPA staff liaison for the 1983 TC. His name is David Trebisacci (first_initial+last_name@nfpa.org).

As I recall... Larry Fitzpatrick and Gerry Frisby. Both were killed when the rope one was using to rescue the other from a window broke and they fell about 7 stories .

This was a response to a similar question posted in 2008 on the forums.
