It's a possibility but you just have to wait and see. Like k20 said, it's a possibility you're going to be waiting a while to get into the academy after receiving the packet anyway, so just be patient. A new wave of packets will get here when they do.

No one can really compare previous waves of packets because there is 1,118 people with the score of 100. I think the 100s start a larger group of people going forward. There is 872 people with the score of 101. There 634 people with the score of 102.

Can someone give me the name of that store in Manhattan that's recommended for buying running shoes; the one where they put you on the treadmill? I know MM mentioned it awhile back but I can't find the post. Bought these shoes from Modells yesterday and they suck. I'll do the run with them on Wednesday but I can't go thru the academy in these darn things.

How are people measuring the mile and a half? I'm at 9:30 on the treadmill. 10:15 using the mapmyrun app and 10:45 on a quarter mile track.

Herc sounds like a beast. I'm still curious what outside athletic experiences translate best for the academy and otj. Football basketball, triathlete?

Always wondered which skill set translates best

I use the cardiotrainer app on my phone. I usually run on concrete but when I time my 1.5 mile I go to the track so I don't have to worry about dodging cars and people that oblivious i'm running towards them on the sidewalk even though they were watching me run towards them for a couple hundred feet lol.

I think you mention before you lived in Queens, not sure but theres a great store out in brooklyn right off Metropolitan called Brooklyn Running Co. I went there and they put on the treadmill and do an analysis of how you run. Super knowledgable guys over there. I got mine from there as well.

If crossfit didn't have dumbass stuff like Kipling pull ups and handstand push ups it'd be the best equivalent. You need a decent amount of strength combined with a lot of endurance. Any sport that improves endurance is a good thing.
