I am 99.9% sure everyone in the 100 score range ( approx. 2220 - 3340 ) that passed CPAT has received or should have received their intake packet. A dude from CPAT prep who is in the 3260's hit me up to let me know he received his packet, and hes almost near the end of 100's.

If you scored 100 and passed CPAT but have not received an intake packet as yet, get in touch with CID and ask them when your interview date is.

No way dude comes out of that closet in Probie School ... or ever for that matter.

But that's the real problem isn't it?

God forbid someone gives an alternate opinion about the career without having to worry about getting the soap in a sock treatment.

This isn't the 1950s though, and the hazing of the old days can't exist today.

You're right, this isn't the 1950's and hazing should and is frowned upon.

The exception that myself, and others in this forum take, is the condescending, cavalier and overall ******bag attitude you take towards the institution of the FDNY and the candidates/probies/firefighters therein.

Maybe you should heed the words of a smarter fireman than any of us, Chief Ray Downey, and that is, "keep your mouth shut and your eyes and ears open."

Be humbled, embrace the culture and learn. Unless you have something positive to offer, shut the h e l l up!

Giving alterate opinions is certainly positive.

Pointing out the flaws instead of just being ignorantly positive about everything is exactly what is needed.

You're right. I encourage you to point out as many flaws that you can find. In the academy, at the firehouse, everywhere. Just don't be surprised when you're the odd man out because you fail to realize that not everything that is flawed needs to have the hall monitor pointing it out.

I'm done with you, stop trolling here.

Depends on how fast you answer the questions. I think I was there for approx. 1 1/2 hours, and I ripped through the test very quickly. Read question, answered question, with no second guessing. You can take more or less time. But as soon as you finish answering all the questions, you can leave.

OR some guys were thinking the same thing but didn't say anything for fear of alienation.

It makes sense to question things that don't make sense.

For those of you who have gone through the medical process with corrective lenses, did you wear your contacts/glasses for the test? Is the vision requirement for the FDNY based on your non-corrective or corrective vision?

If you need glasses to pass the test, you are able to wear them.
