Wait, so there were definitely snail mail CPAT prep invites?

I never got it (only email) yet I already confirmed with DCAS and CID multiple times that my address was changed.

Watching live feed of the 4 alarm building fire on 2nd ave and 7th. Hearing tons of trucks passing my job to that area...

That 7th alarm was crazy to follow online. Can't imagine what it was like to respond to it. My coworkers and I smelt it 40 blocks away.

Also, I just saw FDNY came in as one of Forbes top 25 employers. Here's the write-up they gave:

One of the least cushy gigs imaginable placed near the top of the list: the Fire Department of the City of New York, where incredible daily danger is offset by tradition, training and duty. The FDNY came in as the No. 1 government employer and No. 17 overall.

^^^ THAT IS AMAZING. I don't know if I'm lucky or I'm just blessed to be given this opportunity to become a NYC Firefighter.
