Wait, so there were definitely snail mail CPAT prep invites?

I never got it (only email) yet I already confirmed with DCAS and CID multiple times that my address was changed.

Man thats crazy. That just seperates from the ones who really want the job and the ones who think its going to be handed to them.

That 7th alarm was crazy to follow online. Can't imagine what it was like to respond to it. My coworkers and I smelt it 40 blocks away.

Also, I just saw FDNY came in as one of Forbes top 25 employers. Here's the write-up they gave:

One of the least cushy gigs imaginable placed near the top of the list: the Fire Department of the City of New York, where incredible daily danger is offset by tradition, training and duty. The FDNY came in as the No. 1 government employer and No. 17 overall.

Yes. I got something in the mail. Nothing in my email because it is an old college email. Had to call a bunch of people to get it rectified.

Just got my CPAT information session by email, snail mail, & a phone call earlier this week in case anyone has a relatively close number and didn't receive/hear anything yet.

Gonna be going in on the 29th at 8AM.

Other Half - Green Diamonds. Go local or go home.

Also all I can say about CPAT orientation is that some people are going to have a VERY rude awakening in the next few weeks when they give the course a try.

Beer advocate agrees with you. Will have to sample these " Green Diamonds " you speak of.

Another staple in my repertoire is Jack Abby's " Mass Rising " Double IPL.

Don't worry if you get scared in the tunnel just bang on the wall and the lights come on.

any other poor souls like myself still going through a BS appeal? I know I'm not alone.
The guys that get cleared to get into the academy, please dont take it for granted and **** it away. Many people like myself are desperate to be just reconsidered.
