I was hoping they'd hit a few hundred more and fully clear them by this June's academy because that would show some legitamacy to the rumors of more list numbers per class. But it seems like if they don't send out another hundred or so medicals by May, it'd be too hard to schedule the psychs for those guys to be cleared by academy time.
So if not in the next few weeks, I guess we'll just have another big crew (maybe up to 4000?) taking medicals mid-summertime.

Hey bud, I went to DCAS in person the other day to update my address. It's quick, simple and the safest way to make sure it gets done. The address is 1 Centre Street which is in lower Manhattan by the courts and I believe they are open Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.

Sounds like it... I know there's some orientations and "practice" sessions. Ask David Lin at one of the CPAT preps this week.

Easyyyyy fellas. Let's not fall off the stair master here ...

DCAS CPAT orientation - you visit the facility, watch a video, and they let you test out each station of the CPAT test. You only have to attend one date.

DCAS " practice " test - You get 3 chances at passing the CPAT. These are your first two cracks at passing the test. If you pass your first practice ... Boom. Done.

DCAS CPAT test date : This is your final chance at passing. If you make it to here, it means you failed twice already. Fail again, and you're done. Finished.

Good luck gentlemen. Train hard. Try and pass on your first or second attempt.

I too just received my CPAT orientation notice today (List # 40xx). It says at the bottom to bring a money order for $25 payable to DCAS EXAMS. Does this $25 cover the actual CPAT exam as well or do we need to pay an additional fee for the CPAT exam?

[QUOTE=Manhattan Medic;1436469]How the hell is someone already thinking this far ahead. You probably can reschedule, but there's gotta be a damn good reason.

He rescheduled to come back June 1st paid almost 1000 bucks. He thinks hell be in day 2 run 6/3 being he is about 210 guys from the last 1980 give or take drop outs/defferals. He is an a** for deff doing it so close.

For those of you who are doing these videos, how do you guys go about it? Do you guys do them both in the same order three times a week?

If you can do both of these workouts back-to-back, 3 days a week, I'd say you could take a nap from now until the academy and be way above average. Each workout should be hard enough on its own if you are doing them without rest, in good form, and at cadence.

I've been doing an abbreviated version of these (about 20 mins) as a "warmup" at the gym before hitting the heavier weights, 2-3x days a week. I also take a boxing class (pushups, burpees, jacks, core work, stairs, bag work) 1x a week which is a killer, similar to the FAP sessions. I also go for a light 1.5-2 mile jog about 2x a week as a sort of recovery. I've been doing this for months and I felt like I was barely above average at the FAP sessions. I feel a need to step it up.

Did workout one with mechanix gloves wasn't bad this was my 2nd try. Ive been doing p90x2 and insanity asylum hybrid after doing each once. I still had my a** handed to me somewhat at FAP due to the cadence pushups being way different from just banging out 40-50 straight. I have to say both video sets have helped me out big time with being in good cardio shape and being able to take a beating. I am running 1.5-3+ and now will be mixing in swimming. I don't know what your schedule is like but I try to 2x a day but its tough.
