I'm willing to bet we're going to have at least one 70 by the time they get all the PH's processed and eligible.

letssee: Even with a 99, are you happy to sit idly by as 293 people that scored lower than you waltz onto this job before you?
Not saying I know any of their scores, but this is a more than possible scenario.
Of course I am not, as stated before,"I don’t totally like the whole idea of how the PH’S came about but it’s nothing that could be done. We all just have to make the best of it."

I took a look at the test that the PH's and it seemed pretty normal to me. Instead of them being processes through that Exam I wished they had to take the current Exam now and see how they really would have scored.

I found out that my school, John Jay, has a step mill in the gym, as well as the 50lb vests and they even have the drag dummies. Yesterday I did a total of 20 minutes on the stairs with the 50lb vest.

Did NY state residents need your DMV driver summary / detailed statement for investigator meeting, or only out of state residents ?

Guys, I have my first CPAT Orientation tomorrow - just to clarify, will we have a chance to run the full course at orientation, and if completed in time (not worried about that) then we don't need to run it again?

No, it's just orientation, I don't know if they let you do the course, but it's not a time trial. A time trial is when you do the course, and if you complete the course in under the 10:20 mark, then you don't have to take the test.

Okay, thanks for clarifying. In that case, when did everyone get a chance to do their time trials (when they got the scores they are posting)? Not concerned about the CPAT, just looking to get it over with.

I don't think the time trials have begun, I think they are just doing orientations at this time.
If you see people posting times, those are times from the CPAT training at the Rock.

The guy who walked my group around at the orientation said they have been told to come back towards the end of April for the first round of the time trials that will count if we pass....so atleast we have a toe frame to be perfectly prepared if you want to pass the first round and one less thing to worry about ....

That will be nice I guess if it happens.

So what happens at the orientation? You walk through the course maybe drag a dummy and swing sledge a little bit?

I find it pretty dissapointing that so many of the people on this forum use the word "Racist" completly out of context. The Only thing Racist going on, is the priority hires skipping people who don't share their skin color. I will never stop speaking out about it, the same way others would not if their rights were being violated.

I am really sick of hearing everyone get on board and promote the shut up and keep quiet mentality. Keep Quiet or be called a "Racist", as if we should all be happy to have our requirements segregated. This is not something that is going to blow over, this is an american rights problem and we will all hear about it through out our careers.

However, besides personal gratification, I suppose it doesn't really matter how fast you do it. Doing it in 10:19 is the same as 7:00, as there is no weight given to running it faster now.
Data collection and analysis. Every step of this entire process is measured by scantrons.

Nice, I went there for my bachelors, some postbac stuff, and started a masters. The place is so much nicer with the new building now.

Probably not. I think you have to be a student, and you have to get a medical disclosure form.

Propose something to be done other than bitching about the priority hires. If the priority hires are on the table in the appeals court then maybe it can be stopped. If the city isn't fighting it then there's probably not much of a fight to be had, however I'm no lawyer so I can't say that with any certainty.

Today marks the end of week 10, 8 to go, thanks for asking though. The midterm was approximately 2 weeks ago, and a gimme in my opinion.

The weeks are flying by, but 2 months still feels like an eternity. Can't wait to be doing it for real.

First of all I don't "bitch", I am vocal about my rights and my postion and don't cower at the fear of someone claiming racism for the purpose of extortion. I have been to the last 3 meetings and let the experts handle the courts as to not do damage since I am no lawyer either. I can not speak on the behalf of any organization. I will continue to be vocal about this hypocrisy and blatant unjust segregation, that is the total opposite of a "bitch", I will state my opinion to anyones face.

That's great, in the mean time continuing to complain about it on the internet accomplishes tons, doesn't it?

I am not complaining, I am calling people out who improperly make allegations using the word "Racist", regardless of wether or not they are PH. But I def am not "accompshing" anything by defending my actions to you. Just understand that I have a reason for being vocal and if you have an issue with it, then feel free to PM me so we can save forum space and I will be happy to explain it to you. Untill then anytime someone makes the false accusation of racism, I will call them out on it.
