I don't know of this is relevant for anyone on here or not, but on April second I requested via email a new psych date, and just recieved it in the mail today.
got my psych letter today, 5/18
No, I am between 300-350. The date wasn't what I was expecting either but I think someone else here said they were notified about their psych date before their med date even though the medical was going to take place before the psych. Maybe that's it...or they'll both happen within a week of each other.
I could see where he is coming from.. It's a respect thing too.. If you are given the opportunity to go/do something special then you should abide by their rules regardless of how stupid they might seem..
Stupid was the wrong choice of word..
Rules are there for a reason, probably because someone filmed something and released it on YouTube and it caused an issue..
Bam: I'll do ya one better, if I remember correctly it was a buff that came to the Rock for the training symposium they did a few weeks back.
Even dumber question but what is a buff exactly ? Just curious because I've read it before.
IMO, it's one thing to take pictures/videos of the facilities to show or share (not Facebook share) with friends only.
It is a rite of passage.
I think it crosses a line by posting it publicly.
What exactly is the point of a buff who has no interest in firefighting whatsoever per se? It seems a little bizarre/fetish-like IMO haha.
Well I certainly feel like an idiot saying "nice find". I allow myself one or so idiotic comments a month though.
Mind you, we have plenty around that have very extensive knowledge of the job. But most have the decency and common sense to not do these things. Many know their place, have found their niche and can tell you a thing or two if you pick their brains.
