You can go to the Social Security Administration and request an earnings statement. It will provide info for all jobs in which earnings were recorded.

I understand, but lets say I worked two jobs 4 years ago that I had gotten W2s for, but now only have one of those W2s

I'm a ways away from the investigative process so I only offer speculation. But if you list all former employers based off the SS report, and everything is verifiable, are W-2's necessary?

There's this interesting thing called the "internet". It might be a flash in the pan and never really take off, but there's a website called "The Google" where you can search for things like this.

Honestly. I'd post the link to the results I found, but that would be too easy for you.

The salary is on the site to see how much is being paid, anything over that is up to the individual, working certain tours and OT. So asking how much is irrelevant, it can change.
Ive never thought of it as a part time job, but ive heard actual fire fighters joke around before and call it a part time job. its not that serious.

The fact that you don't get that there are FFs here that don't want that broadcasted on the Internet is scary.

although there is no sarcasm in the statement above at all, in all seriousness I could not find an answer to this specific question. It would be appreciated if you could post a link. Thank you

From the IRS site... You should be able to get from your employer at the time or the IRS will send what you filed for a fee...

    Copies & Transcripts
Question: Can I get copies of my prior year Forms W-2 from the IRS?
    Answer:
Form W-2 (PDF), Wage and Tax Statement, is not directly sent to the Internal Revenue Service. Your employer first sends the documentation to the Social Security Administration. After the SSA has processed this documentation, they transmit the information to the IRS.

The quickest way to obtain a copy of a prior year Form W-2 is through your employer. If that is not possible:

You can order copies of your entire return (attachments include Form W-2) from the IRS for a fee, or
Order Form W-2 information at no charge from the IRS as part of a transcript.
The IRS can provide Form W-2 information for up to 10 years.
Complete information for the current year is generally not available until the year after it is filed with the IRS. For example, Form W-2 information for 2011, filed in 2012, may not be available from the IRS until 2013.
To receive a copy of your return, complete and mail Form 4506 (PDF), Request for Copy of Tax Return, along with the required fee.

To receive a tax return transcript, including your Form W-2 information, complete and mail Form 4506-T (PDF), Request for Transcript of Tax Return. You may also order a transcript online at IRS.gov, or by calling 800-908-9946.

You can expect to get a transcript, including Form W-2 information, within 5 to 10 days from the time we receive your request. If you request a copy of your entire tax return, including Form W-2, you should allow 60 calendar days to receive your copies.

Just out of curiosity, what number did they make it to on 2043? My brother was on that list and was one of the last classes through.
