She still kept saying I was missing a month until I had to show her on the paper look this is the month its all there.

Then after I had everything I possibly needed plus more just in case, She saw on my paper work that I was in a vehicle accident almost 3 years ago. So she requested I get a letter from my insurance company stating that this accident was resolved and settled.. I didn't bring that because I didn't know i'd need that!

So im trying to call the insurance guy who handled this claim, and of course, since it was 3 years ago, he is no longer at that number, someone else now is, and that person isn't even answering im getting their voice mail.

So thankfully I had a saved email from 2 years ago saying this claim was resolved. So I emailed it, and faxed it to the investigator. I then called her to confirm she got it, and she rushes me off the phone saying she is busy and she'll call me back later.. Which by the way it sounded, I don't think she will call me back.

The investigator said I have 4 weeks to get her this letter.. I wanted to confirm that not only she received it, but also that this is good enough, since the letter was dated 2 years ago.

Ughh I was so close to having everything and I just want to make sure everything's good, and the investigator is playing the busy game.. Why are these investigators always too busy every single time you call them and they NEVER call you back. Their JOB is to investigate you for this job. Why do they always ignore you and brush you off and have this "don't bother me" attitude when you're trying to get the job.

Corrections believe it or not I had the best investigator that actually was there when I called, returned phone calls, and saw I wanted the job and thanked me for having everything in a timely fashion and in return she processed me fast and treated me like a guy who was serious about getting the job.
my investigaor tells me that she is busy also lol and that she needs different things each time i get in contact with her. When i tell her that i have something that she needed, she then said that i dont need that but she needs something else. I guess this is what the whole hiring process is about. LONG slow and annoying but it needs to be done.

It was written clearly on the letter lol. When the letter originally came, I obnoxiously just looked at the date and moved onto the other documents in the packet. I just called this morning.

The 3:08 guy claims he can really do 10 minutes with a 60 pound but today his "foot was hurting" lmao; whatever buddy. Anyway, im glad thats overwith. Now, its all out preparation for the academy. Does anyone know if we will receive something in the mail saying we have succesfully completed the psych or is it a "no news is good news" type of deal ? And congrats spiderneck, hopefully I'll be in the same boat as you real soon.

I hate to be the first one to bring this up but...they are giving guys 3 appeals for the stairs, AFTER the second attempt. The guy who fell off today at 3:08 came out of the nurses office talking about their gonna send him a letter for a retry. One of the officers told us the same thing. The old guy who fell off at 6 minutes was crying about "Is there anything i can do or is this the end of the road?". The officer (who looks more like a cop than a fireman) told him its not the end of the road and that he gets 3 appeals but that he is not legally authorized to give him the details and that he has to speak to the nurse. The big black dude said the same thing last time i was there for my medical but i didnt take him seriously until it was confirmed today by the short "cop looking" lieutenant. Anyone else who heard this can confirm. One of the monitors was complaining about it, saying that this is bull**** because when he came on, if you failed, then you failed. There must be waaay too many candidates failing the stairs if this is the route they are starting to take.

You're not the only one man I posted it about a month back when I did my re try. A guy fell off with 22 seconds left and he spoke with the nurse after and they were going over the appeals process. It is what it is can't do anything about it. Those people that didn't put in the work probably won't make it past proby school anyway. At this point with your list number you're probably a lock for jan anyway. Stay focused brother

im late 900's.. my investigator told me i'll be getting a letter for the medical and psych soon.. but again, my investigator seems like she is high and doesn't know anything about anything.. so I don't know what to expect.

They likely have way more work than investigators.

But since they treat you as an annoyance be annoying to them. What's it matter to you? Get it done.

Stop bringing up corrections. This isn't corrections. If you keep that up in the academy/firehouse you're going to be real popular real quick.
I know the investigators are handling a HUGE amount of candidates.. But the fact is, im a candidate trying to get the job, and all I was asking for was confirmation that the investigator got the fax for the document she requested.. Its not like I was calling asking her to have a 10 minute phone convo. And its not like im a guy who is always missing something.. Im a good candidate, I gave this investigator basically EVERYTHING NEEDED.. I just wanted her to check a fax and confirm she got the 1 thing she requested so it can be done that I don't owe her anything. She couldn't take 2 seconds to call me back, or email me back (yeah I emailed her as well, and in the email I also attached the document).

You have guys here saying their investigator accepted paperwork while other guys said their investigator wouldn't accept the same. And John246 said his investigator told him he only has 4 weeks to get certain paperwork to them. The person I know that went yesterday was missing some paperwork but his investigator told him not to worry because he has more than enough time, that he has till basically the before the swearing in to get him the paperwork needed. I guess I'll find out for myself in 2 weeks lol.
Yeah that was a problem, she tells me I have 4 weeks to get her the paper work, which is another reason im antsy to make sure she got my fax.. And I was kind of thinking to myself wtf when she said i'll give you until this day to get me the paperwork. I told her IM ALREADY A CITY WORKER I WAS INVESTIGATED BEFORE THIS CAR ACCIDENT THING WASN''T A PROBLEM.

Another problem I have that I forgot to mention was, 7 years ago when I was a kid I got a B.S summons, which was dismissed in court. I put this down when it asks about arrests and stuff. Before we met the investigator and they were going over the paperwork, they clearly told us YOU ONLY HAVE TO PUT DOWN SUMMONS' IN WHICH YOU WERE CONVICTED, NOT SUMMONS' THAT WERE DISMISSED. So some guy even raised his hand and said "so I didn't have to put down a summons that was dismissed?" and they said you can cross that out or re-do the whole page. I didn't feel like crossing anything out, so I just left it on my paperwork. So thankfully I brought a copy of my disposition for that just in case, because this investigator was telling me she needs a disposition.. which If I didn't bring it I would of owed it. And I said to the investigator, "they told us downstairs this doesn't count and we could cross this off".. and she looked at me with a confused look and said 'I don't know".

    Real Moron.

Important question for guys who are in the current class. One of the proby "drop outs" working at metro tech told me that as soon as you finish the 1.5 mile run, that along with the hiring letter they also give you a bunch of academic material to take home on that day. Is this the same academic material that they emailed to us a few months ago?
