The same guy that told them the January class could reach 1200 told us they'd send packets out to about 1100. Lesson to be learned here, the info he's giving us isn't very reliable.

Just passed my second shot at the stair master! Every step is now complete! So relieved and excited. Gonna continue to train my butt off to be as ready as I can be for hopefully January! Hope to see some of you there.

Sadly, I've never watched any of those shows because my thinking is that if healthcare professionals hate shows like Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice, how do you think rescue workers feel about those shows.

To tell you the truth, from what I gather from Chicago Fire: those get it on with a lot of EMS broads. From what I've seen at my medical exam, I wish life would imitate art.

1200 would be awesome but I'm well in that range and haven't heard anything yet so I wont be holding my breath. That would condense the whole hiring process to about four months or less which isn't impossible but I just feel like next summer is much more likely for those of us in that range. Time will tell though.

one week ago the same guy told us they'd go to 900. I hope it does go to 1200, it would be great to get a bunch of us from here in the same class just take the #'s this guy is throwing around with a grain of salt.

The gossip I've heard is that there is a PH on medical leave who says he realizes he can't do it, it's not for him, etc., however the Vulcans are strong arming him into sticking around and coaching him on how to game the system.
    so true and so sad....

there were a couple of guys that were claustrophobic, but they didn't quit, they delt with it and overcame it

just imagine how many houses would be closed if all the guys that are catholic and wanted off for Christmas.

If that was the case, I'd definitely make some random religion where Halloween was a holiday!

The guy with the dredds did cut his hair. Not shaved but cut it down to female bobber length(ear line) but him as well as many other of the PHs are failing horribly on the exams which means they should fail out of the academy but we all know anything can happen

Why do you act like its just PHs failing, from what I see its a mixed group, EMTs and OCs.

Granted.. It's not realistic, and sometimes sheds a bad light on first responders and isn't exactly correct in terms of sops/sogs..

But.. They do cover a broad range of emergencies..and the 1 medic is cute.

I like it..it's not rescue me... But it's better then the kardashians or the real housewifes..
