I'm aware but thank you I appreciate you trying to look out. I thought I would be specific so everyone had a good reference of where they are on the list, not too worried about my name being out there.

Guys who have gone through it already...is it necessary to attend both CPAT orientations that DCAS gives? Or are they exactly the same?

cpat is good for the life of the list. The psych might be good for the life of the list also. I know its longer than 1 year though. and the Medical is good for 1 year.

Just got my CPAT orientation date for the 29th...

If we pass the first orientation date we don't have to go back for the rest in LIC is that correct?

There are two orientation sessions and then two practice sessions. You must attend at least one orientation. Then you take the practice test. If you pass the first practice test then you pass the cpat and don't have to return or re-take it.

No, orientation doesn't count as a test ... You do orientation .. Then you get three trials after that if you pass the first one you good to go

You don't have to go to any of the dcas orientations and they are a waste of time. Go to the stuff at the rock and don't waste your time at the dcas ones.

This right here is not good advise. Go to DCAS and get a first hand look at what it is like. There are lines painted on the floor that you must follow. They are different colors and numbered for different evolutions. If you follow the wrong one, you waste time, or they may even fail you, I can't remember. JUST GO TO ONE!

For the guys that already handed in their paperwork, what kind of Social Security Earning Statement do you need?

    1. Itemized Statement of Earnings $102
(Includes the names and addresses of employers)

    2. Certified Yearly Totals of Earnings $32
(Does not include the names and addresses of employers)

    3. There's also a free digital version:
Yearly earnings totals are FREE to the public if you do not require certification. To obtain FREE yearly totals of earnings, visit our website at www.ssa.gov/myaccount.

Mohawk was singled out by the DI's on Wednesday for his dome and still showed up today for orientation looking like an idiot. For all of you guys that are running on the 22nd, and for those that are going to be in future classes, when you have any interactions with anyone that outranks you (the stray cats roaming Randall's Island outrank you), FIX IT!!! Some people have said to try to remain anonymous--I don't want to remain anonymous; however, I want to stand out for the right reasons. Don't be like that guy. If a DI says something along the lines of, "wow! That haircut looks awesome," it translates quite literally to, "wow, your haircut wants me to kill myself." There are 18 weeks to screw something up while in PFS. Everyone will mess something up somewhere along the line and be called out for it. If you start things off on the correct foot then things can be much easier forgiven. Trust me when I tell you that the DI's can't wait for Mohawk to screw something up.

Which were the chapters we were told we could skip reading in the proby manual prior to the start of the academy?
