Wow, seriously crazy its been that long. I think if you told me 2 years ago that I was going to get a 102 on the test and still wait 30 months to get hired I would've been pretty shocked haha.

What an honor it was today to march with the flag and to hear the reaction from the crowd.

I guess with Deblasio in office there was no way the city was gonna fight this even if they were going to win. Can't see this doing much more damage aside from the hiring monitor staying for a full decade now.

Yeah I think another big reason to settle was eliminating the large list of officials that were going to have to testify.

Does anyone think future classes from the OC list will be as diverse as the last two classes?

What's scary is the possibility of the monitor forcing a certain ratio when the next exam is completed. having a list established is blind since it's due to tests scores but if the list remains mistily white , I wouldn't be shocked of the monitor decides to bump people ahead to diversify a class. This is my own conspiracy theory so better get in ASAP! I know there are some PH that are probably good people but the inequality created by giving them $$$$$ blows my mind.

nothing like giving in to a lawsuit that was easily going to be overturned. Its only $98 million dollars, no big deal.. I was also thinking that if the city successfully overturned the decision it would open the doors for some lawsuits that would have brought justice to the guys from 6019 that have been screwed. DeBlasio is going to run the city into the ground.

Chief diversity and inclusion officer? so basically this officer is going to be in charge of trying to hire specifically more blacks and less whites. So basically the officer is in charge of discriminating against white guys. That's cool.

I hope the stick to this trend of having cpats and medical dates near each other. Seemed like with 6019 we had them all about a month apart.

Anybody, does cpat work the same as appts with FDNY in terms of showing up early? Is showing up an hour early necessary, or will they not even let you inside at 7 am?

I had mine at 10 this morning and showed up around 9:40. I was the 4th person and was done by 11. I think you'll be fine going in at 7:30. If your driving though, good luck trying to get a park. It took me 20 mins to find a spot. If you could take public transportation, I suggest you do.
