Question about run day. Arrival time is 7am but how long after does the actual run itself begin? Will we be sitting/standing around for a substantial amount of time? Ill be there at 6am but i got a fast metabolism and wanna know how much i should eat so im not absolutely starving by game time.

I know that it was mentioned a while back around the last run, but how is the run set up? Do all hundred or so of us run together at the same time and eventually start separating from each other or do we split up into smaller groups? If i had to guess I would think it'd be staggered start times.

You're running in a really big group. They might split into 2 groups but they are still large groups. If you're extremely slow and out of shape start out as close to the starting line as possible. You only have to do it in under 13min and there will be a pacer so it's not hard. If you're fast start out toward the back you can always pass people once you start

Maybe an hour after. Treat it like a normal jog make sure you're hydrated but don't forget its 1.5miles in 13min you could probably speed walk it.

Can any guys OTJ or who went through the academy recently confirm whether knee high, black compression socks are a good choice for the academy? I'm so damn excited I want to stock up on all the essentials now. haha

Would you recommend any specific type of sock that would be most effective? I remember the smart wool socks being mentioned, but then MM said he wouldn't recommend them for the Academy.

You should go to moddels and pick up the soccer/football/baseball socks. 2 pair for $8. That's what a bunch of us used.
