what about the recycles? Sorry if this has been asnwered I have been working sick for the past like 10 days non stop and my mind is mush.
I never said 1500 guys hired thus far lol.. I said the EMS list was approx. 900, and the PH's that they have to hire are about 600, so that's 1500 candidates that were called to process before a single person on the OC list was processed and hired.

The number of PH's that the City was mandated to hire is 293 not 'about 600.' Also I do not believe that they exhausted the entire PH list, so there will be spots in this upcoming class not only for PH recycles, but for PH's who are getting their first shot at the academy. I believe that there were only 123 PH's who entered the academy with the last class and only 76 of whom graduated in December.

Looks like I'm working from home today fellas. I am thoroughly taking advantage of the luxury I have in terms of deciding whether or not to commute in.

On another note, what do you guys think of high-intensity circuit training? Do you think it serves as a better replacement to old fashioned weight-lifting as a resistance workout for academy preparation?

They are much more difficult... I have been doing multiple sets, such as 4x30 with 1 minute rest between.

Is there a cadence for the sit-ups?

Woops your right, I thought it was approx. 293 of both groups.. ok so I was off by 300.. so instead of 1500 add 1200 to your list of people who were processed before OC candidates.

I highly recommend it, just wait to see if you are in the same group Apha or Bravo before you make arrangements.

I was thinking the same. I believe the physicals are the same way. So if we don't get called for January I believe we need to retake both.

tHe physical (CPAT) is good for the life of the list once you pass it. There is no need to retake it. The medical does expire....its either good for 6 months or a year.
